Overview
SPRING SOUPS & STEWS
Saturday, May 30th, 6 pm - 9 pm
There is no better way to enjoy the delicate flavors of spring like a soothing and soulful bowl of soup. The beauty of soup is that it can be enjoyed for many meals and only gets better as a leftover. You'll learn techniques for creating wonderfully complex flavors out of simple pantry staples and how to celebrate the beauty of seasonal produce creating a feast of complex international flavors. We'll simmer a pot of beautifully green minestrone, brighten up asparagus with Thai curry paste and coconut and we'll make an out-of-the-box chicken soup chock-full of nutrient rich whole grains and zesty spring radishes. Plus we'll round out the meal with the garnishes and sides that make soup feel like an elegant meal. Regardless of the recipe, you'll learn the proper techniques for finishing a soup, managing both its texture and its seasoning, while creating great complimentary sides to round out the meal! |
