Overview
TRUFFLE HUNT EXPERIENCE & DINNER
Sunday, February 15th, 2 pm - 7 pm
| We are super excited to be partnering again with our neighbor and friend, Sarah Colby. She spends her weekends enjoying local forested land (mostly privately owned) with her dogs in search of the Oregon white truffle. A local chiropractor by day, she is passionate about the connection we have to the land, and considers educating people on truffle hunting as her opportunity for environmental stewardship. This foraging adventure will start with us meeting at 2 pm at The Kitchen. We will caravan to our nearby location, where she will take us on a foray through the woods with her dog. It be begin with a dog hunting demonstration with planted truffles, so you can learn how the team (human and dog) work together to find truffles. She will educate us on what makes a suitable place to forage, the sustainable ways to both harvest and love the land. After about an hour or so, we will head back to The Kitchen to do the finishing touches on a lovely, truffle infused dinner, enjoying the just-foraged fruits of the forest (say that three times fast!) A glass of wine is included with dinner. |
