PRESERVING THE HARVEST
Saturday, August 23rd, 10 am - 1 pm
August is a time of abundance on the farm—vines are heavy with tomatoes, berries are at their peak, and the kitchen is bustling with the joyful work of putting it all up for the seasons ahead. In this hands-on class, we’ll show you how to preserve the flavors of summer through both sweet and savory recipes that you’ll be proud to line your pantry shelves with.
We are excited to host talented preserver, gardener, chef & sommelier (yes she is all that!) Hannah Marshall into The Kitchen to lead this class. We’ll work together to prepare a variety of preserves—from bright fruit jam and savory salsa to a savory tomato jam and quick pickles—while covering the basics of safe water-bath canning, flavor balancing, and seasonal creativity.
Whether you’re new to preserving or looking to expand your repertoire, this class will give you the skills and inspiration to capture the best of summer in a jar.
