PRESERVING THE HARVEST: JAMMIN' WITH JESSICA
Saturday, August 29th, 10 am - 1 pm
August is a time of abundance on the farm—vines are heavy with tomatoes, berries are at their peak and the kitchen is bustling with the joyful work of putting it all up for the seasons ahead. In this hands-on class, we’ll show you how to preserve the flavors of summer through both sweet and savory recipes that you’ll be proud to line your pantry shelves with.
Every year Chef Jessica is eager to share her favorite ways to put up the summer harvest with you. We’ll work together to prepare a variety of jams and preserves - while covering the basics of safe water-bath canning, flavor balancing, and seasonal creativity.
